Christina teaches a style of voice and speech called Fitzmaurice Voicework®. She recently received her Fitzmaurice Voicework® Teacher Certification from the Fitzmaurice Institute as one of the last certification groups to study with Catherine Fitzmaurice herself. She was introduced to FV while at SCAD when it helped her heal from a paralyzed vocal chord. Since that experience she has been drawn to teaching FV to others, and has had success with actors, teachers, voice over artists, and public speakers. Fitzmaurice Voicework® is a style of voice training that encourages students to use their voice in a healthful and efficient way. After training in this style, students will find they're able to communicate more clearly, and they can speak and sing without their voices becoming tired. This work releases tensions in our bodies that contribute to vocal fatigue and damage and enables a clear and open channel for communication.
